Custom Gutter System
If you need new gutters, there are two basic types you can install on your home: sectional or seamless. When most people think of gutters, they’re probably imagining traditional sectional gutters. Sectional gutters are typically found on older homes because they used to be more common, and they’re often cheaper and easier to install than seamless gutters. But as the old saying goes, you get what you pay for. Sectional gutters are pieced together in 10 to 20 foot sections with multiple seams—aka multiple opportunities to fail.
Seamless gutters were first engineered back in the 1960s, and over the years, the technology has been perfected. Seamless gutters are made of a single piece of material—typically aluminum that’s been treated and coated to prevent rot and erosion—and installed as one single piece. The only seams or connecting points will be at the corners and downspouts, making seamless gutters stronger and more reliable than sectional gutters.
And that’s just one of the benefits.
Custom Fit To Your Home
At J&J Roofing, we believe the best gutter system is one that is customized for you and your home’s specific needs. That’s another reason why we specialize in the installation of seamless gutters—because they’re made to measure.
When you hire us to install seamless gutters, we will first come to conduct an inspection. During the inspection, our experienced crew will measure your home top to bottom, assess its specific requirements, and take the time to educate you about your options. Then together we’ll determine a solution that meets your needs, style, and budget.
When gutters fit well, they function well. In order to make sure they’re a perfect fit for your home, seamless gutters are manufactured and cut directly on-site. When it comes time for the installation, we’ll arrive at your home with our seamless gutter machine. Making the gutters on-site also ensures they won’t be damaged during transport.
To install the gutters, we use hidden gutter hangers that are designed to provide excellent support and a clean, seamless look. By securing the gutters with 1 ½-inch screws, the chance of saggy, leaky gutters is greatly diminished. Our installers are experts in custom finishing of gutters and downspouts, and can typically complete the job in just one day!
More Benefits Of Seamless Gutters
- Beautify your home. Not only can seamless gutters protect your home from water damage, they can change your home’s entire appearance! Compared to sectional gutters, which have clunky seams, joints, and fasteners, seamless gutters are made of one continuous piece of aluminum, creating a much more uniform, streamlined appearance. They also can be made in virtually any color. This means you can match your home to make your gutters inconspicuous, or you can choose a contrasting color for a customized look. The possibilities are endless! As an added bonus, seamless gutters have a baked-on enamel finish, which never requires painting.
- Minimize leaks. Leaks in gutters happen at the joints and seams, for many reasons— poor assembly, aging, corrosion, weather damage… the list goes on. Seamless gutters actually do have seams, but only at the corners and downspouts. Fewer seams means fewer opportunities for leaks.
- Require less maintenance. Seamless gutters have very few joints and ridges for leaves to get stuck on, so they don’t accumulate as much debris as sectional gutters do. This also makes your gutters less attractive to critters looking for a home. The result? Less time spent cleaning and maintaining your gutters.
